You do mean the LM900 :) Yes, it is completely normal.  Most automatic litter boxes make some sort of noise, it's part of the whole cleaning mechanism…Anyway, LitterMaids are especially noisy, at least the older models such as the LM900.

Is it normal for my LLMM900 to be making so much noise? Otheriwse I like it a lot.
