The Petmate Kitty Komplete II Jumbo Hooded Litter Pan and Hood, which comes in Planet Blue, is part of the Petmate line of manual litter boxes. Petmate has a large line of cat supplies including many different litter pans and boxes. The Kitty Komplete Hooded Litter Pan and Hood, model number 22729, comes in a Jumbo size, which is great for accommodating large cats and multiple cat households. The hooded pan has a raised back in order to help contain litter scatter, and boasts the Microban, antimicrobial feature. The litter box comes with a scoop, a filter, and four litter box liners. There is a “no latch” lock, which attaches the hood to the pan. The Jumbo Hooded Pan measures 21.8 x 18 x 18.5 inches and weighs 4.4 pounds. Additional Hi Back Liners model number 29041 can be purchased separately as well as a Zeolite Filter model number 29203. There is a handle located on the hood of the box for easy transport.

The litter box is protected by Microban, which helps prevent the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria. This Petmate product, like many Petmate products, is made from 25% recycled materials. The litter box comes in Planet Blue and measures 21.8 x 18 x 18.5 inches. The unit weighs 4.4 pounds and has a handle, which makes relocating the litter box simple and fast. The Kitty Komplete II Jumbo Litter Pan uses Petmate liners and keeps the litter inside with its high back and hood. The hood also provides the cat with privacy. The cat can enter and exit the litter box with great ease through the cat hole.
Review:
In general, hooded litter boxes are great products since they provide cats with privacy, (which owners would otherwise have to buy an extra canopy or tent to achieve this), keep the litter contained, and provide a more secure environment for cats. However, the Kitty Komplete II is not a quality made product. It is rather flimsy and not evenly cut. The hook that holds the scoop breaks easily, as do the latches that attach the hood to the pan. Cats seem to like using the Jumbo Hooded Litter Box, but it is poorly constructed.
